Who We Are
Hi! My name is Elizabeth and I am the Owner and Operator of My Happy Place Inc.
I am also a Social Worker, a Disabilities Advocate, and the proud mother of 2 wonderful children who live with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
At My Happy Place Inc., we provide a structured Day Program for adults aged 18+ with developmental and intellectual disabilities, an informal after school program for ages 13 – 21, and a fun weekend respite program for youth aged 6+. Each program is designed to increase and enhance social, life, and play skills.
Our friendly and compassionate staff offer fun and engaging activities, while providing safe and quality care. Care that I would trust and expect for my own children.
Our trained and qualified staff is comprised of PSW's, DSW's, and CYW's who are trained in CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Lifts and Transfers, and Medication Administration.
Our Centre is equipped with a large play room with lots of toys and activities, a kitchen for life skills, a Snoezelen room for sensory stimulation, and a Calm room for breaks. Our washroom has an adult sized change table.

About Our Space
Day Program & Respite Care Facility In Ajax ON
We have a bright and clean space located in south Ajax. Our space includes includes:
An activity room with space for recreation, crafts, & board games.
A play room with toys & books.
A sensory room with bubble tubes, fibre optics, water feature & star projection lights.
A chill out space when individuals need a break with couches, bean bags, and weighted blankets.
A kitchen for meals and life skills.
An accessible washroom equipped with an adult sized change table.
